It follows after and claims your soul.
The colors of the sunset
wisp away in the wind
for the ones that dream
to get lost in
Follow the whimsical path
be careful where you
place your steps
quick travel is a must
As the beautiful colors
start to fade
mystical creatures
come out to play
Beady black eyes
peering through the trees
meddlesome and attentive
ready to catch their prey
The path abruptly stops
towering ahead
is a colossal mirror
Before you can look in it
there’s warm breath
lingering on your neck
As the creature grabs you
you glance at the mirror
and realize your greatest
fears are what’s capturing you
